Lee Counter September 5, 1948 �" November 11, 2008 Age: 60 Residence: Gilcrest, Colorado Tribute: Levina Therese Counter was born in Berthoud, CO to Paul and Vera (Mena) Meza. She grew up in Johnstown, CO where she attended school and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1966. On February 10, 1968 she married Roger L. Counter at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greeley . They moved to Gilcrest where she raised her family. Her family was her number one priority in life. She was a stay at home wife and mother until her children were in school. She later worked for the Weld RE-1 School district for 17 years. She especially enjoyed her work as a substitute teacher. Her love for people showed in caring and encouraging ways. She enjoyed music, singing, photography and was an avid reader. She was a selfless, loving person to everyone who knew her. Mrs. Counter died Tuesday, November 11, 2 008 at her home after fighting cancer for 10 years. Survivors: Her husband, Roger L. Counter of Gilcrest; daughters, Jennifer L. Sherwin and boyfriend Kevin Craft of Loveland, CO, Lisa L. Counter and fiancé Chad Newland of Evans, CO; son, Mark C. Counter and wife Natalie of Cheyenne, WY; parents, Paul and Vera Meza of Johnstown; grandchildren, Zion Counter-Staton of Evans, Mason Counter and Cooper Counter, both of Cheyenne; sisters, Mary Kunna of Longmont, CO, Georgia Abrams and husband Brent of Firestone, CO; brothers, Paul Meza and wife Starr of Cheyenne, Severo Meza and wife Loretta of Johnstown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services: Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2008 at Adamson Chapel. Reception: The family invites all to a Celebration of Life reception from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Valley High School in Gilcrest.
