Levon Rader
February 25th, 1942 - November 5th, 2022
Levon Morgan Rader 1942-2022 Levon Morgan Rader, nee Helen Levon Morgan, beloved wife of John Hunsaker Rader, went to be with the Lord on November 5th, 2022. She is survived by her husband John, stepdaughter Mary Kolsrud (Kyle), and two grandchildren, Erik Kolsrud (Meghan) and Catherine Kolsrud. She joins her parents, Hiram and Helen Morgan, and her brother, Curtiss Morgan, in heaven. Her extended family included adoring nieces Christy Booth (Dane), Melissa Morgan, Teresa Morris (Chris), and Sarah Morgan (deceased); great nephews and nieces Kaylob, Taryn, Krystin, Alaina, and great-great nephew Langston. Levon was born to a loving family with roots in the Missouri Ozarks, and grew up in the small town of Lebanon, Missouri. She met and married John Rader in 1976. She was proud of her nursing career, working in hospital emergency rooms and clinics as her husband John's Park Service and Bureau of Reclamation positions moved them to different and interesting new locations, including the San Francisco Bay area, Fresno, CA, Grand Canyon Village, AZ, Carlsbad, NM, and Tucson and Chandler, AZ. After retirement, they settled in Chandler to be near their beloved grandchildren. They lived in Sunbird, a Chandler retirement community, and Levon became an active member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, serving in the nursery and altar guild. Levon was a talented embroiderer, and loved to read mystery novels. She was an avid card player and enjoyed mahjong, and regularly met with her card playing friends, who will remember her witty and fun nature. Services will be held December 3rd at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Chandler, Arizona, at 11:00 a.m. Donations to the American Diabetes Association are requested in lieu of flowers, at https://diabetes.org/ "The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at the right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night."
