Mr. Lewis Gregory Barrentine, age 66 a resident of Lakeland, Florida passed away Friday, February 2, 2018 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Barrentine was born March 11, 1951 in Cottonwood, Alabama to C.B. and Frankie Jo (Riley) Barrentine. He was a resident of Polk County, Florida for the past 30 years coming from Georgia. Lewis was an owner/operator for an air conditioning company. He enjoyed animals especially dogs & chickens. He was preceded in death by his father; son - Johnathan Gregory; daughter - Melanie Gayle; brother - Ronnie Barrentine and uncle - Jimmie Riley. Lewis is survived by his loving family; 2 Sons: Jarrod W. (Krystale) Crites of Lakeland, Florida Nathan M. Barrentine of Marianna, Florida Mother: Frankie Jo Arant of Auburndale, Florida Brother: Rodney (Melanie) Barrentine of Maryland 3 Sisters: Peggie (Charles) Rainer of Auburndale, Florida Sandy Barrentine (Roy) Porter of Dothan, Alabama Lisa Barrentine of Maryland 2 Uncles: Johnny (Doris) Riley of Palatka, Florida Roger Riley of Winter Haven, Florida 2 Grandsons: Daniel Crites and Jax Crites Funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Kersey Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Waynesville, Georgia.
