BRYANT, Lewis R., 82, of Gibsonton, FL, passed away December 19, 2007 in Kindred Central Hospital, Tampa, Florida. He was born August 4, 1925 in Caldwell, NC. Lewis is the son of the late James Robert and Annie (McNeely) Bryant. He served in the Infantry of the US Army, during WWII, where he received the Purple Heart. Lewis retired from over 31 years of truck driving. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Shirley Frances, and his brother, Gordon L. Bryant, killed in WWII, the same war his brother, Lewis served in. Survivors include his children, Luanne and Calvin Samuel Bryant; two grandchildren; one brother JB (Lula) Bryant; two sisters, Jeannie Thrift, of Lenoir, NC; Helen (Carol) Sain, of Hickory, NC. A Military Memorial Service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL, at later date with Florida Mortuary handling the services. hn glover death datepsychology and lung cancer
