Born in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky on August 3, 1946. Lewis was the son of the late Alex Edward Henry and Anna Elizabeth Akins. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Ruth Harrod Henry, sons Lewis Edward Henry II, of Frankfort and Jason Thomas Harrod (Jessica), Christiansburg, daughters, Carrie Hornbeck Peach (Ralph) and Dawn Hornbeck Chadwell (JR) of Frankfort. Brothers, William "Jake" Henry of Frankfort, George Allen Henry (Connie) of Ft. Myers, Florida. Sisters, Barbara Henry Wright of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Mildred Henry Miller (Bobby) of Frankfort. Lewis is survived by 4 granddaughters, Shelby, Michele, Hailea, and Layla, 4 grandsons, Jonathon, Wade, Jamie, and Waylon. Preceded in death his son Jamie Harrod Hornbeck, brothers, James "Jim" Henry, Martin "Bud" Henry, John Allie Henry. Lewis was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Franklin County. He served in the US Army in Korea. He was past president of the former Bald Knob Eagle Ruritan Club. Lewis was a truck driver by trade. Fred's Fast Freight, he hauled water for individuals in Franklin and surrounding counties and worked at several gas stations around Frankfort. The job he was most fond of was driving a truck for H C Transport. Those big blue trucks were near and dear to his heart. Funeral Information Funeral Service will be 1pm Friday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Flat Creek Road, Frankfort by Bro. Bob Tindall, pastor at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, Bro. Vernon Carpenter, associate pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church and Bro. Wesley Henry, nephew. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the church. Casket bearers will be his nephews, Troy Wright, William Henry, George Henry, Edward Henry, David Henry, and brother in law Thomas J. Harrod Jr.
