Lida Green, 97, passed away June 13, 2019, in Tumwater, Washington. She was born August 21, 1921, to Sadie and Robert Morrison in New York. She also lived in Abington and Broomall, Pennsylvania. Lida graduated from Springfield (Pennsylvania) High School, and earned a degree in Music Education from the University of Michigan. She served in the Women’s Army Corps during World War II as an Entertainment Specialist in El Paso, Texas. She married Richard Green on June 19, 1949 in Philadelphia. Music was Lida’s lifeblood. She was a piano teacher and loved attending symphony concerts. She also enjoyed politics and reading literature. Lida is survived by her sons, William and Robert; daughter, Joanne; son-in-law, Steve Goff; and grandchild, Alexandra. No services are planned.
