Lidia Esperanza Calanche, 93, of Ocala, Florida passed away surrounded by family on July 29, 2023. She was born January 18, 1930. Lidia, known by her family as “Maia” was a native of Jutiapa, Guatemala before moving to the Ocala area from Rosedale, New York in 1993. Lidia is survived by her loving children, Sandra and Arturo. Grandchildren; Cynthia, Kristopher, Roberto, Edwin and Jessica; great-grandchildren Sofia, Lorenzo, Christian, Mia, Layla, Olive, Ryan, Ella and Teddi. She was preceded in death by her mother Paula Calanche. A funeral service for Lidia will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34470 on Saturday, August 5 at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn cemetery.
