Lila Jeannine Hunt, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully December 28th, 2018 due to a 8 year battle with cancer at age 67. She passed away at the Melech hospice house in Tampa Florida, surrounded by her family up until she went home to the father. She was born August 28,1951 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida to Thomas M. Nunn Sr and Mary Margaret Nunn, the youngest of five children. She was a passionate, strong willed, and caring person. She loved spending time with her family, being outdoors and in nature, and was an animal lover. She had a curious, willing and adventurous spirit, one of her many qualities that would draw her husband and her together. She was married at age 17 to Charles Hunt and they had a 50 year marriage filled with joy, love, adventure, and family all the way until the end. She had a very large heart and a servants spirit and was always trying to help others and be a voice for those without one. That tender heart and spirit drew her to becoming a nurse, a vocation she was very proud of and one she thoroughly enjoyed, it was what she always wanted to do,be able to help those who needed it most. She was very passionate about her family, being a nurse, health and wellness, and her faith. Even after she was no longer working as a nurse and became a homemaker, her hands were still always busy, and she was always learning and helping. She avidly studied nutrition and natural health and was always offering information about how to get well and improve your well being. She was very proud of her family, always sharing stories about her husband, her son, and her grandson, and always checking in on her siblings and extended family to make sure they were allright and just to talk and catch up.She was very devout in her faith from a young age, and she never faltered, even until she drew her last breath. Her faith was a major part of her life and even when her battle with cancer became more difficult, she never wavered and she didn't fear death. She always said "when it's time for me to go home, the father will come take me home.I may be gone from this world but I'll live forever with him". She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles M. Hunt, her son,Joshua A. Hunt, grandson Jaxson M. Hunt, brothers, Thomas Morgan Nunn Jr, Carl Frederick Nunn, Jon Terrance Nunn, sister, Ruth Ann (nunn)wightman, and many nieces and nephews. There will be an internment for immediate family, followed by a celebration of life for any and all family and friends to be determined at a later date.
