ALLEN,LILITA (Tutins) “Lita” 5/12/42 – 9/22/24

 

Born in Latvia, Lita immigrated and became a US citizen, graduating from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1961. Lita moved to San Francisco where she met and married, Charles “Charlie” Allen in 1966. Lita was a talented crafter, sewer, gardener and bargain shopper. She generously shared the things she created and acquired. Free of criticism and judgment, she loved and prayed for all. Her life of service to others included working as a nursing assistant in hospitals, house parent for troubled youth, nursing aide for retired nuns and endless volunteering. 

 

Lita was preceded in death by husband Charlie, Parents Veronika and Francis Tutins and brother Antons Tutins. 

 

Survived by nephew Robert Tutins and family, Sister-in-law Raita Tutins, the Allen family, special friends Denise Reuss, Robert Bester, Fred Bester, Lisa Sikkema and many close friends and neighbors. 

 

Service will be held at Maternity of Mary Church Friday, Oct 11, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon, then graveside service at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers 

 

memorials preferred in Lilita’s name to: Maternity of Mary, 1414 Dale St. N., St. Paul, MN 55117, Catholic Charities-Twin Cities, 1007 East 14th St. Minneapolis, MN 55404 or your choice.
