September 4th, 1917 - June 19th, 2015
Kernersville- Lillian Annabelle Baggan, 97, passed away June 19 at home as she was surrounded by her family. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held 2:00 Tuesday June 23, 2015 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel with Rev. Dr. Rick Meyer officiating. She was born September 4, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Anna Mae Hanna and Earl Baker Coster. She was baptized into the Christian faith June 30, 1918, and was married to the late Kurt John Baggan on April 1, 1939. Annabelle lived in Baltimore and moved to Ocean City after her husband's retirement. She moved to Kernersville in 1982. While she was very sad to leave her friends in Maryland, she made many new friends in Kernersville. She and her closest friend, Dorothy Nord, shared many good times together. Annabelle loved the ocean and was able to take her last ocean dip on her 90th birthday with her family all gathered to celebrate her life. In 1982, she became a member of Fountain of Life Lutheran Church where she served in many capacities including choir, Altar Guild, Women's Missionary League and was always willing to help as needed. Annabelle worked as a receptionist/ secretary at Robinwood Retirement Home until she was 90. Survivors include her children Joan and husband Zig Robins of Kernersville, Jeffery and wife Bonnie Baggan of Manassas, Virginia; grandchildren Greg and wife Michelle Robins, Lisa and husband Jim Hayes, Karen Robins, and Michelle and husband Scott Titanish; great-grandchildren Hannah and Lily Robins, Brody and Zoe Titanish and a very special cousin; Muriel Drake. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to her wonderful Hospice Nurses Charlene and Joyce, caregivers Robin, Morgan, Kesha, Rebecca, Rena and Kim. Also to Laura who "danced" with her every Saturday evening. A very special thanks goes to her granddaughter, Karen, who was so loving, patient, and caring to her "Mom-Mom". Thank you to our church family and friends who came to visit and pray with mother. It meant so much to her and helped keep that wonderful smile that we will always remember. The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday at The Jefferson House located adjacent to the funeral home. There will be a Graveside service in Baltimore at a later date. She will be greatly missed by her "grand dogs" Dixie Belle and Piper. Family and friends may sign, and view the guestbook at www.Pierce-JeffersonFuneralService.com In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fountain of Life Lutheran Church or Hospice of Forsyth. "And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes." Rev. 21:4 "I am the resurrection and the life." John 11:25 Service Information
