Lillian Kader, formerly of Beaufort, SC, passed away on July 11, 2024, in Lexington, SC. She was born on November 8, 1927, in Stillmore, GA. She is a daughter of the late Bluford Amerson, Sr. and Lillie Mae Collins Amerson. Lillian was a skilled seamstress and an avid gardener. 

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Kader of Lexington, SC and Luella Gentry of Conroe, TX; two sons, Gary Kader (and wife Saralyn) of Blowing Rock, NC and Gregory Kader (and wife Lisa) of Cordele, GA; brother, Willie Amerson of Lady Lake, FL; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, Lawrence Kader; her son, Gerald Kader; two sisters, Louzine Cherry and Elizabeth Ownbey; two brothers, Bluford Amerson, Jr. and Donlee Amerson; and son-in-law, Don Gentry. 

Lillian’s remains will be interred at the Beaufort National Cemetery beside her husband. No memorial service is scheduled at this time. A grave-site service will take place in the fall. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial contribution to Mount Horeb Methodist Church; 1205 Old Cherokee Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
