Lillian Todd Owen
June 25th, 1928 - January 22nd, 2014
Lillian Todd Owen, age 85, of Charlotte, NC, died on January 22, 2014 at her residence. She was the beloved daughter of the late Cecil Harry Todd and Vera Helms Todd. Lillian was retired from Sears, where she had worked for over 30 years. Lillian was a devoted member of Harrison United Methodist Church for over 26 years. She sang with the choir and loved to volunteer in the infant nursery. She was a member of the Friendship Circle, and faithfully dedicated time each week to preparing the bulletins for all the Sunday worship services, along with her team of "Bulletin Ladies". Lillian is survived by her daughter, Andrea "Andi" Owen, and her granddaughter Allegre Peavy, both of Charlotte, NC. In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband Eugene "Gene" Owen; and her brothers Harry Todd and Jack Todd; and her sister Jeannie Polk. A memorial service for Lillian will be held on Saturday, February 1st, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Harrison United Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Highway, Pineville, NC 28134. Her interment will be private. Contributions in Lillian's memory may be made to The Music Ministry of Harrison United Methodist Church, 15008 Lancaster Highway, Pineville, NC 28134.
