"Lillian B. Smith, 86, of Flynt St., died on February 6, 2012. She was born May 12, 1925 in Gilbertville, MA, daughter of Anthony and Benedicta Minalga. Lillian retired in 1987 as a guidance secretary for Monson High School. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a former member of the choir. She also volunteered at the Wing Memorial Hospital gift shop. She is survived by a son Dean P. Smith and his wife Robbin of Monson, daughter Nicole Domnarski and companion Brian Sullivan of Palmer, a brother Brian Minalga of CT, sister Phyllis Butler of Hardwick and half brother Alexander Staknis of Palmer. She will also be missed by three granddaughters Amber, Crystal and Candice. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Smith. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. A Calling hour will be Saturday morning from 9:00-10:30 am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA"
