Byron, Georgia – Lillian Stevenson, 77, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 14, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A visitation with family and friends will be held one-hour prior to the service beginning at 12:00PM until 1:00PM. Immediately following the services, Lillian will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Lillian was born on October 26, 1943 in Beaufort, North Carolina to the late Inez Taylor and Curtis DeWitt. Lillian was a devoted Christian who faithfully served her lord and savior while being a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lillian was a hardworking woman who retired after many years of service as an inventory clerk at Robins Air Force Base. When Lillian was not working, she could be often on a beach relaxing with her family. She was a very loving woman who was often found with her family making memories and laughing with those she loved. There awaiting for her at the gates of heaven was her beloved Mother, Father; Niece,Mary Popp; and Brother-in-law, Bill Averill. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 46 years, James R. Stevenson; Children, Linda Mitchum (Bruce), Regina Hill (Chris); Grandchildren, Marie O’Reilly, Ashley Duncan (Jeremey), Kyle O’Reilly, Bethany Hill, Audrey Duncan; 3 great grandchildren, her beloved great-granddaughter, Makayla O’Reilly; siblings, Brenda Popp (Michael), Angela Averill, and Curtis DeWitt-McCrory (Jim). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members.
