Lilly Apodaca Armijo

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom and nana Petronilla “Lilly” Armijo. She passed away peacefully in her home from natural causes on August 17, 2022, at the age of 91. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on July 15th, 1931, to Leopoldo Apodaca and Natividad Montano. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She was a lifelong resident of Los Padillas. She enjoyed bingo, word searches, watching hummingbirds, chewing gum, and getting her nails done. She is honored and survived by her son Orlando Armijo and wife Esmeralda of Farmington, NM. Daughter Nina Martinez and husband Ruben of Albuquerque. Who are greatly appreciated for being her support and caregivers over the past few years. Son Steve Apodaca and wife Melissa of Albuquerque. Grandchildren Orlando Armijo, Sonia Martinez and husband Jesse, Adrienne Leonard and husband Brandon, Shawny Martinez, Lauren Apodaca and fiancé Zack Garcia, Andrew Apodaca, Ashley Lovato. Great Grandchildren Benito Armijo, Jaieson Leonard, DeAngelo Lovato, Emilio Armijo, Amari Garcia and soon to join the family Makayla Lillian. Special thanks to her nurses Jessica Sanchez, and Leydi Tognoni for the great love and compassion they showed our mom and nana until the very end. Along with Many other loving family and friends. The family has entrusted her care to Riverside Funeral home of Albuquerque; 225 San Mateo NE Albuquerque, NM 87108. A Memorial service will be held September 2nd, 2022, at 10 am at Riverside Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Los Padillas Cemetery 2820 Los Padillas Rd SW. Reception to follow at Los Padillas Community Center 2525 Los Padillas Road SW Albuquerque, NM 87105.
