Linda Dawson

Linda Marion Dawson of Littleton died peacefully on August 31, 2011 after a long battle with MS followed by a short battle with cancer. Survivors include Father Hugh Dawson and his wife Barbara of Sonoma, California, sister Marjie Dawson of Denver, Colorado, brother Scott Dawson and nephews Brad and Josh of Granite Bay, California, and brother Michael Forquer of Parker, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie Forquer and sister-in-law, Diane Dawson. Linda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada June 28, 1957, yet lived in metro Denver most of her life. A caring and compassionate person, Linda dedicated her life to helping others. She was a certified and well respected substance abuse counselor who for years owned her own business with multiple offices. She was intelligent, strong willed and had a great sense of humor accompanied by an infectious laugh. She loved to travel, endlessly watch classic movies and cheer on her beloved Broncos. Fiercely independent throughout her life, she was unselfishly dedicated to her family and many friends. A memorial gathering is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Hudson Gardens in Littleton. In lieu of flowers, Linda insisted that donations be made to the Diane Dawson Foundation.
