Linda Mae Hudson
June 7th, 1947 - October 16th, 2024
Linda M. Hudson, age 77, of Ft. Plain, died Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady.
She was born June 7, 1947, in Gloversville, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Morrison) Carter. She was employed by Montgomery County and the former Fort Plain Meat Packing Company. She loved to bake, especially Christmas cookies, and to watch the NBA, particularly the Knicks and Lakers.
Linda is survived by three siblings, Robert Carter Sr. (Judy), Ronald Carter and Joann Brooks (Robert); a sister-in-law, Susan Carter; a brother-in-law, Corey Barber; a son, Kyle Smith (Nicole); two grandchildren, Hudson and Wyatt; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-Grandnephews. She also leaves behind special friends Carole and Sonya.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Hudson; a brother, Harry Carter Jr; a sister, Marion Barber; and a niece, Jennifer Carter.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 am Saturday, November 9th at the Mayfield Central Presbyterian Church, 22 N. Main St. Mayfield, with the Rev. Bonnie Orth officiating.
Private interment will take place at Mayfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75231, or the Ronald McDonald House, 139 South Lake Ave; Albany, NY 12208.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, Gloversville.
