Linda Susanne Keller
September 14th, 1947 - August 29th, 2021
Linda Susanne Keller, 73, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on August 29, 2021 surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with lung cancer. Linda Keller was born on September 14, 1947 to Sybil and James Lyonall Keller in Compton, CA. She grew up in southern California and enjoyed the beach and the outdoors. Linda was pre-deceased by her son Dana Ocsenas and is survived by Daughter Nicole Ocsenas. She was like a second ‘Mom’ to Dana’s closest friends, who called to share their love on the days before she passed. Linda was "MOM-My Other Mother" to her goddaughter, Camille Stanbery, who visited often. No matter where Linda lived, she remained close to her friend of 50 years, Gerri Harrison. In the remaining weeks of her life, she was also able to spend quality time with four of her six grandchildren, as well as her daughter-in-law, Lauren Johnson. As a friend expressed, Linda made the most of life right up until she passed. She had a successful career in Real Estate Sales and Marketing for over 20 years in Southern California, Scottsdale, AZ and Tucson, AZ. Linda had a 7-year hiatus from Real Estate to care for her mother in Grants Pass, Oregon, where she purchased and managed a Baskin-Robbins franchise. Linda treasured the 3 years she lived in St. Louis, Missouri with her longtime friend and roommate Pat Beigel. She enjoyed experiencing the four seasons and thrived on meeting new friends. Linda appreciated the varied cultural opportunities St. Louis had to offer. Missouri Botanical Gardens and Forest Park, with its open spaces and museums, were some of her favorite places. She loved cooking, hiking, her dog Peanut, reading, and sketching. Linda spent many hours taking online sketching tutorials. In September 2020, when Pat was working remotely “at home” in Saint Louis, it was time for them to move back to Tucson. Linda wanted to be closer to the mountains, the Arizona sunshine, her family in California, and close friend Gerri Harrison of Tucson. Linda was kind, loving, creative, and fearless. She was always willing to help others and sought to share new experiences. Linda will be missed, but not forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lung Cancer Foundation of America at lcfamerica.org
