Linda L. Lente, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Grandmother, passed away on April 14, 2019, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Proudly preferring to be called "Nana" by those closest to her, Linda was ever committed to caring for her family's every need through the best and worst of all seasons. She was, indeed, her mother's source of light and her son's biggest cheerleader, while living a life solely devoted to boundlessly loving and caring for her granddaughter, Kylene. Linda's daughter-in-law, Laura Lingad, provided tireless and loving hospice care for her around the clock for the remainder of her life since she was first diagnosed with cancer. A lifelong resident of the Pueblo of Isleta, Linda was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Alfred Lente and Wanda (Shouse) Lente of Isleta Pueblo; her sister, Theresa (Terry) E. Lente-Chavez; her eldest son, Christopher Paul Valencia; and her dear Aunt and Uncle, Luis and Elsie Leyba of Roswell. She is survived by her mother, Mary Yturralde; her brother, Alfred Lente, Jr.; her beloved son and daughter-in-law Kenneth Lingad and Laura Lingad of Isleta Pueblo; her granddaughters Kylene Marie Lingad, Mercedes Estes, and Aundrea Valencia; her grandson, Christopher Paul; her nephews Michael D. Chavez, Jason D. Chavez, Paul M. (Scooter) Chavez; and her nieces Savannah L. Chavez, Caitlin Lente, and Jenna Lente. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 10am and 11am, respectively, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at St. Augustine Church: 71 Tribal Road 35, Isleta Pueblo Village Proper, New Mexico 87022, with interment immediately following at the Isleta Pueblo Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason D. Chavez, Pastor Ray Jaramillo, David Lente, John Montoya, Jr., Edwin Lente, Will Antonio, and Christopher L. Abeita. Honorary Pallbearers are Alfred Lente, Jr., Leonard Lente, Pablo Mirabal, Alfred Leyba, Brian Rawlings, and Richard Leyba. The family wishes to thank Linda's loving family: Charlene Seidl and Marlene Abeita-Montoya; Jason D. Chavez and family; Pastor and Mrs. Ray Jaramillo, Makayla Telfer, and Roxann Hudson for their love and gracious support during Linda's final months, weeks, and hours, and beyond. "Everything is better a year later." –Linda Lente Arrangements entrusted to: Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE (505) 764-9663
