"Belchertown, Linda A. (Wedell) Mattison, 47, of Sabin St., died September 25 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston after a battle with leukemia. Born August 24, 1957 in E.Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wedell of Rhode Island and Helen (Fontaine) Taylor of Nauvoo, Alabama. Linda has lived in Belchertown for the past 33 years, previously residing in Rhode Island. She was an office manager for 25 years at The Nathan Agencies (Amherst Insurance Agency). Besides her mother, Linda leaves her husband of 18 years, Michael, her three children Jennifer Espeseth of Woodstock, CT, Alexander and Breanna Mattison both at home, siblings Nancy Samson of Northampton, Helen Brophy of New Orleans, Louisiana, Joseph Taylor of Nauvoo, Alabama, her grandfather Roy Geyer of Seekonk, MA, several cousins, nieces and nephews. At Linda’s request, services are private. There will be a public memorial service Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the tower in Quabbin. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made in Linda’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104. "
