October 13th, 1954 - May 11th, 2023
Linda Snell, 68, born on October 13, 1954 of Amsterdam passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. After graduating from Wilbur H. Lynch High School she worked for several retail stores in the area before settling into her career as an Administrative Assistant at CDTA in Schenectady. She was united in marriage to Greg Snell on May 12, 1973. In her spare time Linda loved playing cards, spending time with family and friends and going on vacations as well as to the casinos. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Greg Snell, as well as her mother Phyllis Marotta, sisters: Doreen (Wayne) Wnuk, Cindy Padrick, Libby Bahm, brother Mike (Sharon) Procopio, sister-in-law Debby (Donny) Young, brothers-in-law Bruce (Bobbi Snell), Brian Snell and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father August Lucido. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Jeanie Gawlak and Audrey Kenyon-Godbout whose loving care made her last days comfortable. Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Betz Rossi & Bellinger Funeral Home 171 Guy Park Ave Amsterdam, NY 12010. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 4:00 PM immediately following the calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
