MACON, GA-Linda Sue Walker, 69, passed away on August 29, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Friendship Baptist Church, 3139 Friendship Church Road, Dry Branch, GA, with Reverend Charles Carter officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Linda was born in Blackshear, Georgia on November 9, 1949 to Martha Lou Batten Jacobs and the late Sylvester Jacobs. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Linda was a seamstress for a local mattress company and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Jacobs and her sister, Kay McDonald. Survivors include her husband, Talmadge Walker; daughters, Martha Cook of Macon, Loretta Hendricks (Doug) of Homerville and Nancy Holton (Thomas) of Savannah; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother, Martha Lou Batten Jacobs of Thomasville; sisters, Betty Taft (Gene) of Waycross, Iva Lee Ezell of Cairo, Aline Jacobs of Thomasville, Marilyn Rogers of Brunswick, Robin Pool Page of Waycross and Denise Bohannon (Jason) of Nahunta; brother, Wayne Jacobs of Kingsland; and extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
