Linden McKay Price
February 23rd, 1943 - February 16th, 2021
Linden McKay Price a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on February 16th 2021. Linden was 77 years old. Linden was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 23rd 1943. He moved with his family shortly thereafter to La Junta, Colorado. The family moved to nearby Swink several years later. After graduating from high school, Linden joined the Army, moving to the Navy after boot camp. There he traveled the country and the world, fighting two tours in Vietnam, meeting his wife, Judith Ann Rogers and having his two children, Lisa Marie Price and Shannon Annette Price. Linden retired from the military as a Senior Chief Petty Officer (SCPO E8) and continued to use the computer skills he gained in the military in the private sector until he landed in Maryland working for the Treasury department. Linden again retired to return to his home state of Colorado, where he married his second wife, Elizabeth Y. Andrew Harris. Linden was a Benefactor Life Member of NRA; a life member of the American Legion and the Fleet Reserve. Linden was a Chairman for HEARSCOSP; and held a multitude of titles within his local Prospectors Sertoma Club. Linden also worked with a local food pantry to deliver food to the needy. Linden was preceded in death by his parents, William Roland and Marjorie Price; brother’s, William Price and Roger Wallace Price, his sisters, Doris Wolfe and Winifred; his father in law, Martin Andrew and sister-in-law, Sharon Lee Hooker. Linden is survived by his widow, Elizabeth Y. Harris Price; his first wife and her husband, Judith Ann Crane and Richard Crane; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Marie Manifold and James Manifold and Shannon Annette Price- Scanlon and Michael Scanlon; his grandchildren, Cooper McKay Manifold and Dale Everett Manifold; his sister’s Mitzi Price and Katherine Price, his brother Max Price; his brother-in-law, John Hooker; his step children, Martin and Debbie Harris, William Harris, Tallie Harris and Kimberly Harris as well as many nieces and nephews whom Linden held dear to his heart. Linden will be missed by friends and family throughout the country. A small service will be held for Linden in March as well as a celebration of life later in the year. The family is asking donations be made in Linden’s name to HEARSCOSP HEARSCOSP - Home (weebly.com) and Mission Medical www.missionmedicalclinic.org in lieu of flowers.
