Lindsay Sheldon Brooks

“She is joy” is how one friend described Lindsay Brooks. Lindsay passed peacefully on May 16th after suffering a traumatic head injury in an automobile accident on April 19th. She was 33 years old. Although Lindsay was small in stature, her flashing smile radiated far. Her generous heart overflowed with kindness. Her contagious laugh and bright soul brought joy to her many friends and loved ones. Lindsay loved the beach and was passionate about animals. She was loyal to her friends and their pets. She embraced any small adventure that came her way. Lindsay was also an avid SF Giants Fan. A life long resident of Aptos, Lindsay graduated from Monte Vista Christian High School and attended Cabrillo College. She was a familiar face at World Savings and Loan, Wachovia Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank for over twelve years. She graduated from National Holistic Institute to become a massage therapist. Enthusiastic about her new profession, she loved working at Elements of Life Chiropractic office in Capitola. Lindsay is survived by her mother, Susan Brooks and her loving companion, Dan Holdren, both of Aptos; her sister Morgan Brooks of Seattle, WA; and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Ronald Paul Brooks. A memorial service and celebration of life are being planned for Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 4:00pm-8:00pm.
