Lino Leroy Tapia

Lino Leroy Tapia, 44, a resident of La Madera and most recently of Santa Fe, passed away surrounded by his loving and caring family on Friday, November 1, 2019. He was born November 7, 1974, to Olympia Gonzales and Richard Tapia. He was proceeded in death by his father, Richard, maternal grandmother Rosa Griego and paternal grandmother Agnes Talache, brother Felix and sister Rosemary, nephew Leonard Jr, nieces, Audrey, Bernadette and Sherry. Lino is survived by his daughter Shianne and grandson Maxis, mother Olympia, brothers Leonard and Marvin, sisters Debbie and Brenda Lee, a niece who was like a sister, Nadine, Godchildren Brandon Gonzales, Jose Miguel Vasquez, Fabian Montoya and Derrick Varela, numerous nephews and nieces, and aunts and uncles. Lino spent many years working for the forest service as a forest firefighter where he served as a squad boss. Later in life Lino became a certified nursing assistant where he played an exceptional role at numerous Northern New Mexico Nursing Homes. Lino lived life to the fullest, loved his family, and touched so many lives with his kindness. Lino will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11 at 11:00 am at Victory Faith Church - 823 Angel Duran Dr., Espanola, NM. Private Family Burial to be held at a later time.
