Silvey, Litta Z, M. D. Of St. Petersburg, FL, died February 17, 2017. Born in 1936 in Lima, Peru she met her husband, Bruce, when he was a Lieutenant in the US Army during shooting competition. She was a world class small bore markswoman who came from a family of Olympic shooters that included her father, her sister, and her niece. As a member of the Peruvian shooting team, she won a Silver and a Bronze medal at the 1959 Pan American games in Chicago. She was a practicing physician in Peru at the time of her marriage in 1961, when she moved to the United States. She delayed medical practice in the U. She obtained her US medical license in 1983; and served a three year Pediatric Residency at the University of South Florida, Tampa General Hospital. Then she entered into private practice in 1986 until she medically retired in 1993. She was on the Medical Staff of All Children's Hospital, Bayfront Medical Center, and St. Anthony's Hospital. She was respected by her peers and loved by her patients. She excelled at painting and sculpture; spoke four languages; and loved to travel and see new things. Litta was an excellent wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, daughter Karen, two sons, Paul and Kenneth, and four grand children. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr M.L.K. Jr St N, St. Petersburg, Saturday, March 4th, 2017. Time 4.00 PM; a reception to follow.
