Lloyd David Fritch
August 11th, 1931 - October 6th, 2021
Lloyd D. Fritch, of Windsor, Colorado passed away peacefully Oct 6, 2021 after fighting pneumonia and other related illnesses for the past few months. Lloyd was born on August 11, 1931 outside the small southeast Kansas town of Opolis, to James and Sara (Shira) Fritch. He was the older brother to Mary Ellen. Lloyd attended High School in Carl Junction, Missouri graduating in 1949 and briefly attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri until he was drafted into the US Army and served during the Korean conflict. After his military service and honorable dis-charge he returned to the Southeast Kansas and Southwest Missouri area and married Muriel Dean Jones who proceeded him in death in 2004. Lloyd and Muriel relocated to the front range of Colorado in the mid-eighties to be close to their sons and families. Lloyd worked as an automotive technician specializing in transmission service and rebuilding until he retired. Lloyd attended and was an active participate in the Independent Christian and Churches of Christ all of his life. Lloyd will be fondly remembered as a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Lloyd was preceded in death by his spouse of forty-nine years Muriel Dean, both his parents, and sister. He is survived by his sons Tim Fritch, his spouse Leanne, of Loveland CO. and Randy Fritch and spouse Tammy also of Loveland, CO. Grandchildren, Mike and (Janet) Wells, Michelle (Wells) and Brandon Schmidt, Misty (Wells) and Ernest Eich, Rochelle (Fritch) and Jeremy Arlitch, and Shaun Fritch. Great grandchildren, Alyssa, Bryce, Caycie, Isabella, and Samantha, who all live in the Northern Colorado area, Lloyds close friend and companion for the last several years, Mary Wood of Windsor, Colorado and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Tuesday October 12, 2021, 10:00am at Dayspring Christian Church in Windsor, CO with viewing Monday October 11, 2021, 4:00-7:00pm at Viegut Funeral Home. Burial Tuesday October 12, 2021, 1:00pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor, CO.
