Lloyd "Doug" Gaines

Frankfort – Lloyd “Doug” Gaines, 78, husband of Bonnie Monfort Gaines, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. A native of Franklin County, he was born on March 7, 1942 to the late Lloyd and Mary Smith Gaines. He was the owner of Doug Gaines Roofing and Crain Service. In addition to his wife of 59 years next month, he is survived by his children, Doug Gaines Jr., Frankfort, David Gaines, Frankfort, Mary “Sissy” Gaines, London, Woodrow “Woody” Gaines, Frankfort, and Melvin “Dudder” Gaines, Frankfort; his brothers, Ricky (Serinna) Gaines, Lawrenceburg, and David Gaines, FL; 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Zane Francis Gaines and his grandchildren, Brooklyn Gaines and Ryan Gaines. Private services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Rev. David Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:30pm until 3:30pm on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
