Harris, Lloyd C., 85, of Kenneth City, died Monday April 16, 2007 at Hospice House Woodside, Pinellas Park. Born in Albion, Illinois, he moved to St. Petersburg in 1948 from MT. Carmel, IL. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the 17th Airborne division in the US Army and was also involved in the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Varsity and received two Bronze battle stars, a purple heart, good conduct medal and victory medal. He was a member of the 17th Airborne Division Association, VFW, and The Sunny C?s Champion Motor Home Club. He enjoyed carpentry, wood work, fishing, and camping. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mildred; a son, Larry W. Harris of, Ventura, CA a daughter, Sandra E. Malone of Kenneth City; a sister, Margaret Cassell, Turkey Creek, FL; four grandchildren, Christie Stryker, Santa Barbara, CA, Richard Briske, Kenneth City, FL, Christopher Harris, Kailua, HI, Cheryl Briske, St. Petersburg, FL and five great granddaughters, Taylor, Jaymie & Ava Stryker, all of Santa Barbara, CA, Jordan & Taylor Briske, both of Kenneth City, FL.
