Lloyd Arthur Wampach
August 3rd, 1928 - April 9th, 2021
Lloyd A. "Bud" Wampach, age 92, died Friday, April 9, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be heldat Our Lady of Mercy Parish, Boca Grande, FL on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10AM. Burial will be scheduled at a later date in Eden Valley, MN. Bud was born in St. Cloud, MN August 3, 1928 to Arthur J. Wampach and Anna (Hackman) Wampach. He married Celestine "Sally" Foley on August 29, 1953 in St. Petersburg Catholic Church, Eden Valley, MN. Bud joined the Navy in 1946 after graduating from Cathedral High School and was Honorably Discharged in 1948. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve from 1951 - 1952 and was called for Active Duty. Bud graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1951 with a BBA degree and earned an MBA from the University of Toledo in 1964. Bud worked for the Whirlpool Corporation for 35 years. He began his career with the company in 1955 establishing the corporate human resources dept. Bud retired in 1990 as a corporate vice president and president & chief executive officer of Inglis Ltd. A canadian company controlled by Whirlpool. Bud was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, golf and time spent with his wife, Sally, of 67 years. They retired to Boca Grande, FL in 1990. Bud will be remembered as a true gentleman and devoted family man who was strong in both his faith and fortitude. Survivors include his wife Sally, children Dan (Jacqueline) Wampach, Patti Rae (Chuck) Wittrock, Trude Wampach, grandson Nick (Stef) Wampach, great grandson Weston Wampach, sisters Bev (Sam) Hennen and Gwen Przybilla along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeff Wampach, grandson Weston Wampach, sisters Jackie Tomizik and Shirley Wampach. In lieu of flowers a memorial gift can be made to Parish Life Center in care of Our Lady of Mercy Parish, P.O. Box 181 Boca Grande, FL 33921.
