Locadia S. Barrera, 77, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 3, 2024.  She was born on December 9, 1946, to Francisco and Pauline (Sabala) Rangel in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Locadia grew up in Nebraska with her family and they later moved to Sterling, Colorado. She met the love of her life, Alfredo Castillo Barrera, and they got married February 2, 1966. They moved to Chicago where she had her first child in 1967.  They ended up back in Colorado a year later and stayed. She then had four more children over the next few years.
