Lola Hayes Beus

Lola Hayes Beus, 95, of Caldwell, passed away February 28, 2013 of natural causes. Born to Walter and Matilda Potter Hayes in Taylorsville, Utah, she was the fourth of five children. She attended schools in Taylorsville and grew up playing the piano and the cornet in the family band. In 1935 she married Joseph Gibson and to this union they were blessed with 7 children. In 1970 Joseph and Lola were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Kuna for 10 years, Parma, Nampa, and Meridian until they settled in Caldwell for 30 years. Lola was a member of the LDS Caldwell 2nd Ward, Caldwell East Stake. Lola loved to work with her husband, farming, milking cows, and raising chickens and calves. She also enjoyed sewing, canning, and was a dedicated homemaker. Lola is survived by her children Areta Beus, daughter-in-law Kathlyne Beus, Annette (Garold) Johnston, Micheal (Mary) Beus, David (Betty) Beus, and Bonnie Beus, 32 grandchildren, 108 great- grandchildren 13 great- great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, sons: Larry Beus, Paul Beus, all her siblings and four grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Graveside services at 1:00 pm Friday March 8, 2013 at Aultorest Memorial Park, Ogden, Utah.
