Lonnie Hurst, Sr., 86, died on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Thomson Hood Veteran Center. He was born on September 14, 1934 in Lexington, KY to the late Artie and Tootie Hurst. He is a Veteran of U.S. Marine Corp. Lonnie is survived by one daughter, Peggy Stamper, Lexington, KY; two sons, Lonnie Hurst, Jr., Bath Co, KY and James (Kristy) Hurst, Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Brandy Hurst, Buddy Stamper, Jr., Mary Roark, Tabitha Hurst, Diane Canter, Robert Canter, Olivia Katherine Jean; great-grandchildren, Harper Stamper, Brayden Stamper, Caroline Stamper, Alexis Grace Reynolds, Andrew Reynolds and Dylan Reynolds. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Callie Hurst whom died in 1981 and second wife Thelma Hurst whom died in 2004. A graveside service will be 10am Friday, January 8, 2021 in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
