Lonnie Richard Norris
December 22nd, 1950 - July 29th, 2008
A memorial service will be held for Lonnie Richard Norris, 57 of Gerber, on Saturday, Aug. 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at the LDS Church at 545 Berendos Ave. Lonnie passed away, Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at his home. He was born in Houston, TX to Lonnie and Ruth Norris. In 1972 Lonnie was drafted into the Navy and served in Vietnam aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. He then served in the California National Guard for 20 years as a Chaplains asst. and a cook. Lonnie married Mickey Stickles in 2001 in Red Bluff. For the past eight years Lonnie has been a maintenance man at Wal Mart in Red Bluff. He was an ordained minister in the United Christian Pentecostal Church. His survivors include his wife Mickey of Gerber; three sons, Timothy (Aimee) Norris of Los Molinos, Donald (Amanda) Stickles of Red Bluff, Christopher (Theresa) Lindsay of Kane, PA; five granddaughters; three grandsons; two great granddaughters; one sister Caroline Jimenez of Oakley and his mohter-in-law, Margy Stickles of Red Bluff. Donations may be made in his memory to the St. Elizabeth’s Hospice in care of the Affordable Mortuary 587 Country Dr. Chico, CA 95928
