Lorelle "Lori" Lundeberg Schiewetz

April 12th, 1925 - July 2nd, 2024

Lorelle Lundeberg Schiewetz, affectionately known as Lori, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2024, at her home in Auburn, Washington, at the age of 99. Lori was born on Easter Sunday, April 12, 1925, to the late Edgar and Olga Lundeberg in Hartford, Connecticut. The second of seven children, she graduated from high school at 16 years old, received her B.A. in Business from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and worked as a legal secretary at The Mead Corporation and as an administrative assistant at Dapsco, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio.

While studying in Boston, Lori met her husband Tom, who was pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School. They married in Hartford on June 18, 1949, after which they moved to Kettering, Ohio, Tom's hometown. Following the birth of their third child, Tom's career brought them to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for seven years before they returned to Kettering, where they were active in the Lutheran Church of Our Savior and valued members of the community. In 1990, Lori and Tom moved to Federal Way, Washington, to be closer to family.

Family was of utmost importance to Lori, who devoted herself to being a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She prided herself on attending any and all family events across the country, whether large or small. She was always helpful, encouraging, and involved with her extended family and various community organizations. Lori loved dancing, reading romance novels, walking the annual Boulder Boulder, and spending cherished moments with her grandchildren, including outracing everyone on her sand bike during her 80th birthday at Cannon Beach. She was a skilled piano player with a soprano, songbird voice, and she could mend almost anything with her needle and thread. Lori maintained connections with many friends, and though her last years were physically difficult, she remained upbeat, cheerful, and full of love, complete with her bright smile and twinkling eyes. Lori's warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Lori is deeply missed by many, including her son Kenneth (Kim) Schiewetz of WA; daughters Janet (Tom) Grenslitt of CA and Diane Scott of CO; grandchildren Katie (Drew) Worthington, Karen Schiewetz, and Karly (Jacob) Jeffreys of WA; Kurt Schiewetz of Thailand; Tyler (Katie) Grenslitt of MO; and Winston (Jenny) Mosley of TX; sister Marjorie (Roger) Loucks of CT; sisters-in-law Ann Titus of CO, Glenda Lundeberg of CT and Carole Lundeberg of FL; and many nieces and nephews. Lori was thrilled to have met her first great-grandchild, Lark Worthington, just months before she passed. Lori was preceded in death by her husband Thomas; brothers John, Arthur, Roger, Russell, and Allen; and grandson Spencer Mosley.

Lori was a dedicated member of Marine View Presbyterian Church, 8469 East Side Dr NE, Tacoma, WA, where her life and faith will be celebrated at a service on October 19, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you would like to leave a tribute, go to: www.afterall.com.
