Loren J. Fassett

Mr. Loren J. Fassett, 74, of Fassett Road, East Springfield, NY died peacefully at home on Sunday, June 13, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born in Cooperstown, NY on May 23, 1947 he was the only child of the late Homer and Leola Stiles Fassett. A lifelong area resident, Loren was a graduate of Springfield High School and later went on to graduate from Alfred State University. Loren was truly a jack of all trades, but had a keen interest in Agriculture. He owned and operated Fassett’s Machinery and was a custom carpenter. His greatest joy was his family and was always his happiest when he was driving a tractor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Beth Jones Fassett, whom he married on August 27, 1966; his three children, Terry G. Fassett and his wife Jodi of Silverdale, WA, Mary A. Barth and her husband Bernhard of Commerce Township, MI and Scott A. Fassett and his wife Andrea of Ames, NY; three grandchildren, Jada, Jordan and Quincey; and many cousins. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 4 until 7p.m. at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317.
