Loren Scott Grassman
September 25th, 1936 - October 19th, 2014
Loren Scott Grassman, 78, of Tacoma, WA, peacefully passed away at home on October 19, 2014. “Luke” Grassman, son of John and Zula Jane Grassman, was born September 25, 1936, in Enid, Oklahoma and remained an Oklahoma boy at heart. Luke peacefully passed away after a brief battle with cancer while watching the Broncos play the 49ers with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Lorene Strand and Terri Pothier, sister Phyllis Hall, brothers Lynal, Henry “Hank”, Forrest “Frosty”, and John “Johnny”. He is also survived by six awesome grandsons, Jacob, Edward, Brandon, Ryan, Andrew, and Kyle, three beautiful granddaughters, Katie, Jamie, and Milanie, great granddaughter Aspen, great grandson Ryan and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Luke worked in the construction industry most of his life until his retirement in 1999, bringing his love of motorcycles, go-carts, and cool old cars home to his own garage on many occasions. He also loved fishing, deer hunting, and playing poker with his daughters and grandsons; watching his granddaughters jump on the trampoline, and giving too many treats to his grand-dog Annie. Luke will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His generous spirit, quirky humor, and talents will be celebrated at his home in Tacoma, Washington on Friday, October 24th.
