Loretta Ann Russ

Loretta Ann Russ, 84, died February 13 2021 from complications related to Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Youngstown Ohio, she moved to Denver Colorado shortly after her marriage to Charles. They spent the rest of their lives together at their house in the Denver suburb of Lakewood. A devoted wife and mother, Loretta was also highly active at her church. She volunteered for years as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Our Lady of Fatima, including on the Board for several years, her passion was working on the Spring Luncheon and loved decorating the Parish Center for the theme of the year. Once the children were out of the house, she spent time as a teacher’s assistant for special needs children. Loretta had many loves in her life. She was a talented artist with both oils and watercolors. She loved when the kids would bring over the grand puppies to run around the yard. She was also an accomplished cook who loved to search new recipes for the family. Loretta is survived by her Husband of 56 years, Charles, their Son Tim and his wife Heather, Daughter Amy and her Brother Tom and his wife Mary Rita as well as Sister in Laws Nancy, Betsy (Gene), Sue (Michael) and Polly (Michael) and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
