Lori Ann Ashworth

"May the Lord show kindness to you as you have shown to me. Ruth 1:8" Piney Flats- Lori Ann Ashworth passed away peacefully from the circle of her families love into the arms of her loving Savior on February 20, 2015. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother grandmother, and friend. Lori was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bascom and Glenna Ashworth; maternal grandparents, Isaac and Myrtle Peters, as well as her precious mother Edna Victoria Peters Ashworth; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her father Bobby Jack Ashworth; sisters, Sherry Ashworth Brown and Jacquelin Ashworth Thompson and husband Rick, daughters Amber Krajeck and fiancée Joe Wheeler and Kelli Krajeck; grandchildren, Mason Wheeler and Lexi Krajeck; as well as several nieces and nephews; she also dearly loved her special sisters Robin Pendergrass and Penny Almaroad. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the many nurses and doctors who cared for Lori at Wellmont Kingsport and UVA Neuro Science Center. Their heartfelt thanks are also extended to Wellmont Hospice and area EMS providers. The family will receive friends anytime at the home as well as at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St. Kingsport, TN, from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday February 24, 2015. A funeral service will follow in the chapel with Preachers Garry Hood and Chuck Grimm officiating. Music will be provided by Gary and Ronny Hood. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at East TN Cemetery (Blountville). Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the Ashworth family.
