Lori Morris
March 5th, 1960 - May 12th, 2013
“Went to Rest with God at the age of 53 on May 12, 2013. Born in March of 1960 in Easton, Pennsylvainia, to Jean and Merlin Brotzman. Moved to Northglenn, Colorado as a child and attended Northglenn schools from grade school until graduation from Northglenn High School. She attended Metropolitan State University of Denver in the Human Performance and Adult Fitness Department. She was employed by Metropolitan State College of Denver in the Veterans Upward Bound Program and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in the Nursing Department for several years, and was office manager for Dr. Lynn Parry upon her death. She is survived by her husband, Glenn A. Morris, her mother and father, her sister, Judi, brother, Jeffery, and nieces, Alexa Rae and Stephanie, her brothers-in-law, Mike, Joe, and Jerry, sister-in-law, Penny, step-son, Lonnie, daughter-in-law, Anne, granddaughters, Hawthorn and Cheyenne of Albuquerque, aunt and uncle, Lois and Andrew of Boulder, and cousins Janelle, Tom, and Karen of New York City. Lori was a Master Instructor of Jazzercise at Capitol Hill Jazzercise up until her death. She was well known and loved in the field of strength training, aerobics, and dance. Her favorite activities were hiking and snowshoeing in Yellowstone Nalt. Park, Glacier Nalt. Park, Vancouver Island, Denali Nalt. Park in Alaska, Banff and Lake Louise, Canada, and especially Snowy Range, in southern Wyoming. She was an avid bicyclist, excellent swimmer, and certified Wilderness First Aid/Responder. She was an animal activist, and loved her cats. Lori resided in Thornton, Colorado, until her death. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt, daughter, friend, and confidant to many dear friends and associates. Funeral services were held at Holy Cross Catholic Church under the direction of Father Tom Coyte, on May 22, 2013, 7:00 P.M. She advocated for all animals, especially wolves, grizzlies, and domestic cats and dogs. Donations may be sent to: Humane Society of Boulder Valley 2323
