Lori Ross

After an arduous battle with cancer, Lori M. Ross, age 58, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2019 in Lakewood, Colorado. She was born June 27, 1960 in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Jeanne (Hothem) Collier. Lori was the oldest of five siblings and lived in the Denver area until the early 1970s, when she and her family moved up to Montana. She attended Hellgate High School before graduating from Florence-Carlton High School in 1978. Lori returned to Colorado shortly after graduation, where she met her husband Ron Ross. They were married in July 1981 and together had four children, Kyle, Alison, Nicole and Britney. Lori graduated from nursing school in 1996. She worked at Hand Surgery Associates and Swedish Medical Center before retiring in 2018. Lori was a kind soul who loved helping everyone. She always went out of her way to do for others before herself. She was a great listener, always saw the good in people and situations and had a smile that would brighten everyone’s day. Lori loved spending time with her granddaughter Isabella. She enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends, doing crafts and coloring. Lori liked watching the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. Lori was preceded in death by her mother Jeanne, her father Charles and daughter Nicole. She is survived by husband Ron, son Kyle, daughters Alison and Britney, granddaughter Isabella, and siblings Becky, Chip, Cindy and James. She will also be remembered by numerous extended family members and friends. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Ascension Lutheran Church at 1701 W Caley Avenue in Littleton, Colorado.
