Lorraine M. Peterson, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home at Lexington Manor on May 12, 2017. Lorraine was born on Sept. 7, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, the fourth child of Charles and Emma Klein. She married Leonard V. Peterson in 1950; they were happily married for over 60 years until Leonard passed away in Sept., 2011. They lived in Michigan and Kansas until their move to Florida in 1978. Lorraine was the devoted and beloved mother of Janice L. Hanson (husband Steve Hanson) of Denver, Colorado and Karen S. Bradshaw (husband Rick Bradshaw) of Port Charlotte; beloved grandmother of Heather Hanson (husband Ryan Arthurton) and Lindsey Hanson (husband Hernan Sanchez); proud great-grandmother of Jackson Arthurton. She also had two step-grandchildren, Dana and Kyle Bradshaw. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Viewing, services and reception will take place at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, from 2:00-6:00 pm. Pay respects at www,charlottememorial.com.
