Lorraine Pfeiffer (77 years old ) (11/17/1943 – 03/15/2021) was an artist, crafter, seamstress, friend to many, mother, wife, and an amazing cook. She grew up in Gretna, Louisiana, graduated from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, Louisiana and studied art at Southeastern Louisiana University. Her late husband was James Baird. She moved from Louisiana to Byron, GA in 1998. Her sisters are Elaine (husband Lloyd) Leaber (daughter Terri Pennison) and Evelyn White (daughter Nicole Nieves) Her parents were Lawrence and Hazel Pfeiffer from Gretna, Louisiana. Her sons are Kerwin Smith (Eugenie Marler, wife) and Konley Smith (Jennifer Spodat). Kerwin's children are April Iverson and Davide Smith (grandchildren). Konley's children are Brendan Smith and Logan Smith (recently deceased). For the last 10 years, she enjoyed working in fabrics at Hobby Lobby and was surrounded by loving and wonderful people. A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 7:00Pm until 9:00Pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory.
