Del Vecchio, Louis, 87, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday January 20, 2001 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. He came to St. Petersburg in 1998 from his native Rochester, NY. He retired from the Ritter Company where he had been employed as a machinist. He was Catholic. Predeceased by his wife, Florence Del Vecchio, to whom he was married for 53 years, his survivors include two 2 sons: Joseph Debra Del Vecchio ? St. Petersburg and David Catherine Del Vecchio ? Waterford, MI; a daughter: Doris Arthur Paliani ? Rochester, NY; a brother: Thomas MildredDel Vecchio ? Rochester, NY; three 3 sisters: Isabel Fred Barricelli and Connie Scherzi ? both of Rochester, NY, and Ann Pete Bovenzi ? Dayton, OH; seven 7 grandchildren; four 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family prefers memorial donations to American Cancer or American Heart Association. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center ? Ninth St. Chapel.
