Louise Martha Seman
March 22nd, 1928 - April 10th, 2016
At the age of 88, Louise passed away in Tacoma on April 10, 2016. She passed peacefully from natural causes surrounded by her family. She was a dedicated and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Louise lived a very full and active life, seasoned with her warm compassionate personality and quick-witted humor. She loved life and her family. Louise spent her entire life in the greater Tacoma area. She graduated from Stadium High School in 1946. Later she worked at the Johnson Paint Company where she met and married her beloved husband, Clarence J Seman who predeceased her in 2007. Together they spent 57 memorable years together, raising 5 children and enjoying their grandchildren. In addition to her time at the Johnson Paint Co, Louise also worked at Cheney Stadium and for several years at JC Penney, before joining Clarence in retirement. In her retirement years, they loved to travel and Louise was an avid quilter, a member of Comforters and NAGOPS (Needle Arts Guild of Puget Sound). But what she most enjoyed, was just simply being around her family and hosting many family gatherings over the years. Louise is survived by her children: Mark (Karla) Seman, Jayne Lough, Todd (Linda) Seman, Penny (Kirt) Swanson, Wendy (Steve) Johnson, her 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A private memorial will be held later this summer, a family gathering just as Louise wanted.
