Linda Carskadon

Sheila was my first Chief Nurse in the Air Force, an aeromedical evacuation unit, or "flying hospital" unit in 1973. She was small in stature but formidable (in an easygoing way). We became friends and remained so for 51 years. I feel so fortunate to have known Sheila. I will miss our phone calls, with her in Florida and me in Arizona. My sincerest condolences to all the Jennett family. I know she enriched your lives, as you certainly did hers.

On behalf of the Society of Air Force Nurses, please know we are mourning with you the death of our friend and colleague, retired Lieutenant Colonel Sheila Jennett. She was a remarkable woman who made such a difference in the lives of others during her own journey through life. Sheila was a Lifetime member of the Society, and a donation in her honor and memory will be made to the Florida Wildlife Hospital as suggested. Sheila will certainly be missed by so many, and she will definitley not be forgotten by the community of Air Force nurses. Linda J. Stierle, Brigadier General, United States Air Force (Retired)
