Lucille Mary Allen
March 24th, 1944 - November 13th, 2023
Lucille Mary Dolores Martinez Allen, passed away peacefully in her home on November 13, 2023. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Lucille's journey was one of transformation and joy. In 1973, she became a born-again Christian. Lucille's relationship with Christ was of upmost importance to her and dictated all her actions. She was a devoted member of Temple Baptist Church – Santa Fe, where she made many lifelong friendships. At the age of 33, dedicated to her pursuit of education, Lucille began her Bachelors of Science degree, graduating Cum Laude from the College of Santa Fe. Lucille had many skills and used them all in her long career as a successful insurance agent and in later years as a respected Senior Agent in Land and Right of Way. In May 1981, Lucille met the love of her life Michael Allen at a dance in Albuquerque. Their fast friendship turned into a 42-year marriage that was her ultimate joy. Their many shared experiences included faith, family, travel, love of outdoors and spending many years working side by side in the Right of Way business. They truly were “Pals”, as they called each other, in every sense of the word. Lucille and Michael's adventures and work took them all over the US. Starting in McCall, Idaho, to Kemmerer, Wyoming, Sun Valley, Monroe, Louisiana, and many places thereafter. Their ultimate love of the beautiful mountains and outdoors, won out when they settled for a final home in Garden Valley, Idaho. They built a log home that became their happy place for enjoying hunting, fishing, and most of all, family gatherings. She was the proud mother of two children, Terry Dee and A.J.; and doted on her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who knew their “Mema” loved them fiercely. Lucille is proceeded in death by her beloved parents and a younger brother. Please remember Lucille as she was most of her life, active, full of energy, love, and kindness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests either flowers or donations to the Gideon’s International in memory of Lucille Allen, as she was a big supporter of the Gideon Bible Society.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
