Obituary Lucille (Adams) Colson, 91, passed away at Sunny Vista Retirement Home on April 3, 2016. She was born on June 7, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to Frank and Bertha Adams. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two adult sons and her husband, Lymon Colson. In her late teens, Lucille left Chicago to pursue her love of fashion and modeling. She had a successful career with the John Robert Powers Modeling Agency in California. Later Lucille returned to Chicago to attend nursing school and became a registered nurse. Lucille was a long time Colorado Springs resident and a member of First Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years. She also volunteered at Silver Key for many years. Lucille is survived by her devoted caregiver and friend, Shirley Alford. Her friends would like to thank the staff at Sunny Vista for their exceptional care of and devotion to Lucille these past months and to the Myron Stratton Home, where she resided for the prior ten years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Silver Key Senior Services at https://www.silverkey.org/how-you-can-help/donate. A visitation is scheduled from 11 until 3 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016, Cappadona Funeral Chapel, Cappadona Funeral Home. Interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetary next to her beloved, Lymon. Good bye for now Lucille. We will always remember your quick wit, your sense of humor and that great smile! Rest in peace until we meet again.
