Lucille Elizabeth Fife

Lucille Fife, 95, of Canby, Oregon passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at her home. She was born March 15, 1924 to Ruth E (Lapp) Frank and William Frank in Missoula, Montana. Lucille was raised in Minnesota, part of a family of 9. She married George W. Fife on June 9, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lucille graduated from Northwestern Christian College in St. Paul, Minnesota. She moved to Oregon in 1956, living in Portland, West Linn, and Junction City before settling in Canby in 1980. Lucille was a teacher and a nursing home Chaplain, but mostly she was a devoted wife and mother who loved her Lord, husband, and children as well as her grandkids and great-grandkids. They attended several churches in the Portland area, as well as West Linn Baptist, and North Marion Baptist. Lucille is survived by her son, Daniel Fife and Spouse Mary of Vancouver, Washington; daughter Luellen Fife of Canby, daughter Barbara Bertolo and spouse Angelo of Canby; son, David Fife Sr. and spouse Mona (who was a loving caregiver of our mother) of Canby; six grandchildren, Dolores Fife (Carlos Segrero), David Fife Jr. (Tyree), Shane Fife (Caitlin Adamski), Ruth Johnson (Devirous), Lucy Bertolo, and Suzie Farnsworth; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Wednesday October 16, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Canby Funeral Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery where she will be put to rest with her loving husband George Fife!
