Lucille Marie Picano
May 27th, 1935 - February 5th, 2014
Picano, Lucille Marie 78, of St. Petersburg, was wrapped in the Hands of God on Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she moved to Florida in 2005. She was Catholic. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Mary Cianfarani and 2 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her husband Joseph Picano; children Gary Iavecchia and his husband John Markham, Robert Iavecchia and his wife Stacey, Kenneth Iavecchia and Karen De Vito and her husband Michael. She will also be missed by her step-children Diana Steinberg and John Picano; grandchildren A.J., Christina and Kayla Steinberg, Brandon and Dylan Iavecchia, Michael and Andrew De Vito; brothers Rocco and Vincent. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 8th at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Lucille was a consummate homemaker. She strived to make her family comfortable, happy and well fed. A traditional Italian, she had the cooking skills most would envy. She adored her grandchildren and was an avid fan of the Red Sox. In her limited spare time, she enjoyed watching the QVC channel. She was loved by many, and will be missed by all of them.
